tried zig for a weekend
wrote a small http log parser. notes
- allocators being passed everywhere felt annoying for one hour and then good
- comptime is really nice
- error messages are mostly fine
- std changes between versions and half of what you find online is out of date
- zig cc as a cross compiler is worth installing it for by itself
would use again for small stuff. not sure about bigger

The pinned-version problem is real. No 1.0 yet. Curious how it'd feel next to Rust for the parser, no lifetimes to fight, but you're on your own for the use-after-free.
yeah. debug build caught one for me with the general purpose allocator. felt like cheating
Been using zig cc to build C for an old ARM box. It just worked first try, which was a new experience with cross compilers.
I will wait. One difficult language is enough for now.
