Perl CGI guestbook. Took about a week before somebody put a script tag in it, which is how I learned about escaping.

Also how are you measuring? A multimeter on the uA range has a big burden voltage. Can brown out at wake-up when it pulls 200mA through that range. If it reboots in a loop on the meter and not on the …

Copy protection on some old disks used this deliberately, so it'd crash on the 65C02 accelerator boards.

There you go. A 20k divider on a 4V cell is 200uA all by itself. Go to 1M + 1M and put 100nF across the bottom resistor so the ADC has something to sample. And power the DHT from a GPIO, or a P-channe…

DHT22 and a divider, 10k + 10k for battery voltage. Oh no.

What else is on the rail? Sensor? Voltage divider for the battery?

Parts came!! Bare module + MCP1700. Now reading 210uA. Better but not 10!!

yes yes i know. wip commits from now on

reflog is for commits, for anyone reading this later. It doesn't help here because nothing was committed. Which is why you commit often and squash later.

Staged is good news. git add wrote the blobs into the object store, they just have no name now. git fsck --lost-found Then look in .git/lost-found/other. You get the contents without the filenames. Do…

Second one. I edited the block for example.com and was testing against www.example.com, which falls through to the default server. Feel slightly stupid. Thanks.

Dump the config nginx is actually using and check two things: nginx -T | grep -n -E 'server_name|client_max_body_size' A location with its own client_max_body_size overrides the server one. And check …

Set client_max_body_size 50m; in my site's server block and reloaded. Still 413 for anything over a meg. curl -v shows it's definitely nginx answering and not the app.

Emacs Lisp. Yes it counts. Everything I've written since has been an attempt to get back to that feeling of redefining a function while it's running.

For what it's worth I gave up and used a bare WROOM-32 on a small carrier with an MCP1700. It's fine for a garage sensor.

That'll get you maybe 2mA back. CP2102 and the regulator are the rest. If you want the real number you need a bare module and a low Iq regulator.

The LED! ok I can desolder the LED

Help · post #2

You're measuring the board, not the chip. Those devkits have a USB-serial bridge, a linear regulator with a fat quiescent current, and a power LED. All of it stays on.

Datasheet says about 10uA in deep sleep. I measure EIGHT MILLIAMPS. Battery lasted 9 days instead of the year I was bragging about!! esp_sleep_enable_timer_wakeup(600ULL * 1000000ULL); esp_deep_sleep_…

Classic. You can make the assembler do it for you, most of them have an .assert or similar for it.
